My name is Keith Berr, I am a commercial/ fine art photographer and travel worldwide with studio locations in Cleveland, Ohio and Santa Fe, New Mexico. I attended Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, and have been producing images for more than 30 years. My travels take me on assignments, or personal projects where I capture vistas, people, food and native flair around the world. My passion leads me to photograph people where I may not speak the local language, but I have the unique ability to be able to connect and gain a trust, that allows me to capture people’s true personalities. I’m as comfortable photographing the presidents of Fortune 500 companies, as I am the men and women in remote Bhutanese villages. Recently, I was inducted into the Cleveland Advertising Associations Hall of Fame and also received the honor of being selected as one of the ASMP’s top 10 Photographers in the United States. In my commercial work, some of this past years memorable projects have included producing a large series of macro food images for the Hard Rock Casinos interior designers, new branding campaigns for AT&T, Verizon, Newell Rubbermaid, Aldi’s, McDonalds, Kay Jewelers, the Santa Fe Rodeo, The Bonneville Salt Flats, Timken Steel, Republic Steel, University Hospitals and currently with Liberty Mutual Insurance. Whether I’m working in one of my studios or an isolated location, I believe that light is what makes a photograph great and I utilize natural or created light in the formation of my art. A favorite quote of mine reads: ‘Amateurs worry about equipment, Professionals about time, Masters worry about light.’
